Matt & Annas wedding was just at the beginning of Spring, and I'm always reminded of it at this time of year, buds on tree so full of promise, it's such a great time to share those vows with the one you love!
I'm not sure what the weather is like where you are today, but it's the last day of winter here, and we just had a very substantial hail storm followed by snow! Lets hope those blossom trees push forward and burst into flower soon!
Part of how I love capturing peoples special day is being able to show the details as well as the larger picture. The rings that the couple will wear are very special, and I always try and capture them in a way that reflects the day. These buds, full of hope seemed the perfect way to display Matt and Annas new wedding rings!

The Very Thought of You.......Seaside Love
The wedding of Bridie & Paul was such an amazingly beautiful one, it will always stay with me.
Set on the headland of Kioloa on the South coast of NSW, which is also a personally special place to me, I really can't imagine a more stunning backdrop for a wedding.
Aside from the ocean, with its obvious glorious beauty, Kioloa has some amazing bushland, and I love this particular image because it just sums up the location and the day so beautifully.

The Very Thought of You....
Spring is definitely in the air - technically it's a few days off, but the blossoms, warmer (and longer!) days say it's definitely got one foot in the door!
I'm always excited at this time of year, it's so beautiful seeing all the bare trees spring into life, but also because a new wedding season is almost upon us, and I look forward to making beautiful images that reflect the gorgeousness of my clients.
To celebrate this time, I'm going to be sharing some of my personal favourite shots from prior weddings, I hope you enjoy!

Pig Farming Protest - www.aussiepigs.com.au
Just over a year ago now I photographed the protests of the Live Export industry, thousands of people rallied nation wide to speak out against cruelty that we all could see was plainly not acceptable.
Just over a week ago an intensive piggery just 15 minutes from Canberra was raided by Police, DPI, the NSW Food authority and the RSPCA. Activists from Animal Liberation ACT and NSW had uncovered video and photographic evidence of horrendous cruelty and neglect, right in our own backyard. It's quite horrifying to know this has been happening so close to us, and for what appears to be quite a long time.
Just yesterday I photographed the rally to protest this establishment, which as of today is STILL OPERATING, and other horrendous pig farming practices that are completely legal within the industry. I admit I am finding the fact that this particular piggery is still operating a little hard to understand, given the RSPCA's capacity to seize animals whom are in danger. Just recently the RSPCA seized a large quantity of dogs from a squalid puppy farm. The conditions of this piggery make one wonder why these pigs aren't entitled to the same protection.
It's a sobering experience, having been part of such a big movement as the movement to Ban Live Exports, and to have seen the passion and commitment that people had to seeing that cruelty end, only to see the trade continue with little to no effective protection implemented for the animals. I sincerely hope that this is not the case with this piggery. This type of abuse should not be tolerated. Our animals deserve so much more.
Please take the time to visit this site and look at the images and/or watch the videos of the piggeries that have been exposed, and sign the petition to close the piggery and demand inspections of all other Australian piggeries. Nobody *wants* to see these images, however it's so very important to know what is happening right in our very own backyard - and furthermore, the pigs are still at these properties, and they need your voice in order for them to be heard.
