Canberra Family Photographer - Sweetness & Light

I was lucky enough to shoot Giselle & Marks wedding in winter of 2010, what a beautiful and elegant day it was, I remember the Canberra autumnal colours vividly!

The wedding was pre-blog days - here are a couple of images from their day (just to refresh your memory & because they're gorgeous! :)):

I was even more delighted when Giselle contacted me recently to photograph their baby girl, Alannah, it is always exciting meeting new family members of couples I have worked with, a really amazing part of my job.  We met at the same place we'd taken some of the wedding images, down by the lake, a spot that is gorgeous year round!

What a gorgeous little blossom Alannah is!  I can't say as much as the images can, hope you enjoy these as much as I did taking them.

Canberra Pet & Family Photographer - George

About two weeks ago, we lost one of our cats, whom died suddenly from what appears to have been a large tumor that we didn't know about.  It was such a shock, and has been such a loss to our family.   We found great comfort in looking at photos of our cat that we'd taken over the years, and so I decided to offer my services to photograph furry folk with a small fee, going as a donation to Animals Australia (less a $10 admin amount).

I first met Sean and Anna about a year ago now when I photographed their beautiful kids.  George is a 12 year old labrador that Sean and Anna have had from a pup, he's quite a fixture in their family.

We spent some time playing at a local park and got some great shots of the family and george enjoying each others company.  If you're interested in having your furry family member photographed as part of this offer, please drop me a line at mail@katelukephotography.com.au

Canberra Wedding Photographer - on love and unstoppable smiles

Tess & Mark where married at St Christophers Cathedral on Saturday October 29th.

Beautiful Tess arrived wearing the most amazing gown, but as gorgeous as it was, it couldn't outshine her amazing smile, it's a smile that lit up the entire Cathedral, and I'm quite sure, all the hearts within it.  The weather threatened, and even delivered a very gusty shower after the ceremony, but even the heavens couldn't compete with Tess & Marks happiness, and followed the short storm up with a rainbow - now I know rain is *good* luck - surely a rainbow is *amazing* luck!  Well deserved for this sweet couple.

The happy couple held their reception at the Ottoman restaurant, with amazing table details created by Tess herself.

This was a simply beautiful wedding, one that has reminded me once again of why I love my job, getting to be a part of so much love and happiness - well it's just simply an honour.  Thankyou Tess & Mark!
